How would you feel if God called you to
bring His love to one of the most remote
villages in Nepal? Accessible only by swinging
bamboo bridges and mountain trails, some quite treacherous.
No electricity. A day’s walk to the nearest market, road or
hospital. Add to all that a high alcoholism rate among the
villagers and—when sober—their resistance to anything
other than their traditional religion.
Missionary Suraj Magar faced these circumstances, as
you will read in this issue of SEND! magazine. And when
he chose to meet the challenge in the best way possible—with
prayer—the Lord was more than faithful to provide for his
every need. May we all learn from Suraj’s example.
