GFA RADIO
Far and
Wide
Radio Brings the Gospel
Proclaiming Hope to the Hopeless
What Kondru heard was one of Gospel for Asia’s
daily radio broadcasts in the Telugu language.
“I felt the words penetrate my heart,” he shares.
“God’s Word encouraged me and filled my heart with
hope and peace.”
Instead of the sad ending Kondru planned, the
Lord renewed this husband and father’s will to live.
He now trusts God to provide him with a job and
take care of his family’s needs.
Through GFA Radio’s broadcasts, the Lord
restores broken lives and brings hope to millions.
In many parts of Asia, sharing about God’s love
one-on-one can be hindered due to political, social
or religious barriers. However, each day GFA Radio
broadcasts biblical messages over the airwaves for
more than 10 hours. These broadcasts go far and
wide, with a potential listening audience of 1 billion.
Radio, the “invisible evangelist,” is often the
only Christian witness many encounter before they
slip away into eternity. Imagine their joy when they
hear of Christ’s love for them for the first time!
Planting a Seed of Faith
Vijaya experienced firsthand the life-changing
power of one of these broadcasts. As a young man, he
dutifully worshipped the gods and goddesses of his
traditional religion, but he was in bondage to adultery
and other addictions.
“Many times, I thought to stop this, but I could
not do it,” he confesses.
Although he was living a life of sin, he believed
he was happy until he learned that he had AIDS.
“I didn’t want to live in this world any longer,”
Vijaya remembers. “In this pathetic condition, I offered
sacrifices to gods and goddesses, but it was in vain.”
Desperate for physical and spiritual healing,
Vijaya spent many days crying alone in his house.
