Did You Know?
With a potential listening audience of
1 billion, GFA Radio is one of the most
cost-e ective tools for sharing the
Good News in Asia.
Cost to produce a 15-minute
radio broadcast: $45
Cost to produce a
1-hour program: $185
GFA Radio produced its
first radio programs for
the unreach ed peoples of
southern Asia in 1986 and
now broadcasts the Gospel
in 103 languages, with a
goal of 200 languages.
Then one day, he tuned in to a GFA Radio
program. As he listened, he felt the Lord speak to him.
“A new seed of faith grew in my heart,” he recalls.
Vijaya put his trust in Jesus and His Word. Slowly,
the symptoms of his disease disappeared, and eventually,
the Lord completely healed him. Vijaya now possesses
hope for eternity and renewed physical health.
Igniting a Passion to Follow Jesus
Every year, GFA Radio receives around 1 million
responses from listeners like Vijaya and Kondru.
Many write to say they’ve chosen to follow Jesus or
gained a deeper hunger for the Lord after listening to
a radio broadcast. Each of these listeners receives
prayer and a personal response to their letter.
The Lord is pouring out His blessing on GFA
Radio and opening listeners’ hearts to receive the
truth of the Gospel. In fact, people in some remote
villages have turned to follow Christ years before a
native missionary was able to come to them simply by
hearing the Gospel message through the airwaves.
When missionaries do reach these isolated places,
they are often greeted by eager faces and hearts,
hungry for a missionary to come and teach them
more about Jesus.
