to the Prince
of Peace

Vikrant had no peace in his life. He tried
to find it by worshipping his gods and
goddesses. He even resorted to liquor. But
peace still eluded him.
Then he met a Christian, who invited
him to church. As Vikrant started
attending, the Lord began to speak to him
through His Word. A few months later,
Vikrant chose to follow Christ, the Prince
of Peace. He later publicly testified of his
decision and began growing in his faith.
Vikrant’s heart began to be moved
with compassion as he noticed countless
people following the same kinds of
traditions that had only left him in despair.
With a burden and a call from God,
Vikrant enrolled in a Bible college for
ministry training. He graduated in 2003
and today has been blessed with a growing
fellowship of believers.
Could
Deliver Her
v
For seven years, Roopa was possessed
by an evil spirit. Her family took her
to many doctors and witch doctors,
but none of them was able to help
Roopa. Her condition was getting
worse with each day that passed.
Then Roopa’s husband, Ekbal,
heard that people were receiving
healing in Jesus’ name through the
prayers of James, a missionary who
lived in a village 12 miles away. He
brought his wife to James’s house.
“Nothing is impossible for God,
who has defeated Satan,” James told
them. He prayed for Roopa, and she
was delivered from the evil spirit.
When Ekbal saw his wife’s healing,
he proclaimed that only Jesus had been
able to deliver his wife. The whole family
chose to trust Christ as their Savior.
Getting Out

A Women’s Fellowship team meets every
week to pray for the needs of the women
in their community. And word has been
getting out about this special prayer meeting.
Bakul came one day and shared her
family’s struggles. She and her husband,
Jayin, and their two little children were
being disturbed by evil spirits. The children
would wake up screaming at night.
The women prayed for Bakul’s
family and shared the Good News of
Jesus with her. She began attending the
prayer meetings and soon gave her heart
to Jesus. Today, the family is free from
demonic disturbances.
Another woman, Tarani, regularly
attends the Women’s Fellowship meetings.
Her husband was addicted to alcohol,
and this was destroying their family.
Tarani asked the women to pray for her
husband. The Lord answered their prayers
and delivered her husband completely.
What No Sorcerer
Could Do
v
Namita, 18, had suffered under the bondage of demon possession
for several months. Family members took the young woman to
many shrines, sorcerers and psychological specialists. Although
they spent nearly 15,000 rupees (approximately US$300) seeking
a cure for her, their efforts were in vain. Namita’s parents and her
extended family worried a great deal about her future.
Then their neighbors told them about Puneet, a native
missionary who lived nearby. At the family’s request, Puneet
visited their house and prayed for Namita’s deliverance. The
believers in Puneet’s church also joined him in prayer.
Within a few days, Namita was completely free. Puneet
explained the Gospel to Namita’s family, telling them of their
need for salvation. After listening carefully, Namita and her
family decided to follow Jesus.
Today Namita is vocal about her faith, and she also desires
to serve the Lord in her village.
Bitten at Midnight

As a poor farmer, Naveen depended on his ox for
his livelihood. So when his ox was bitten by a viper
one evening around midnight, he was very worried. He
called a witch doctor to perform rituals for the ox, but
it got worse, refusing to eat and groaning in pain.
Then one of Naveen’s neighbors urged him to call a
Christian. They called Layak, a missionary. It was close to
1 a.m., but Layak and a friend rushed over. Layak told the
witch doctor to stay and see the work of the Lord.
Layak and his friend prayed and asked God to heal
the ox. After they prayed, Layak asked Naveen to give his
ox some grass, and it began eating without any trouble.
When the witch doctor and his companions saw the
incredible work of the Lord, they bowed their heads and
left Naveen’s home. Through this amazing miracle, Naveen
and his family chose to follow Christ, and many in the village
are now open to hearing more about the love of God.
